Taiwan Smart Cloud Services Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Taiwan Smart Cloud) was established in 2021. It launched Asia's first commercially available high-efficiency AIHPC supercomputer for industrial use. With the goal of building an AI digital economy ecosystem, it helps industries quickly obtain high-efficiency and low-threshold AI smart applications and cloud architecture solutions. For example, it provides AIHPC cloud computing resources needed for digital R&D in the market. Together with partners, it develops diversified industrial solutions such as AI on 5G, hybrid cloud, data and blockchain. It helps industries build, train, manage and deploy AI smart applications more quickly and flexibly, so as to accelerate the digital development of startups and enterprises and achieve the results of ESG carbon reduction layout, and realize the digital transformation and business expansion goals of end customers.

The AIHPC supercomputer system cloud platform is a major AI infrastructure project under national policy. It was built in 2018 through a collaboration between the National Applied Research Laboratories' National Center for High-Performance Computing (NAHLCC) under the National Science Council and ASUS Group. Its construction and operation team consists of core members of Taiwan Intelligent Cloud, possessing independent technical expertise in R&D and abundant resources from ASUS Group. The AIHPC cloud platform, built with technological innovation and patents, boasts excellent performance of over 9 PFLOPS (9 gigabit floating-point operations per second). Its system can provide the highest efficiency with optimal energy efficiency, making it comparable to the world's fastest supercomputers. It has also achieved a ranking of 20th in the world's Top 500 high-speed computing mainframes (TOP500) and 10th in energy efficiency (Green500), both of which represent significant milestones for Taiwan's supercomputers. Taizhi Cloud has secured resources from the AIHPC cloud platform through a contract to provide services to various industries, ensuring a stable and continuous supply of computing resources. The company aims to accelerate the industrialization of AI and the AI-enabled transformation of industries through the AIHPC cloud platform, shaping the AI service industry model into a commercially viable AI Foundry. This will allow companies to implement AI applications and services without needing their own AI R&D teams, similar to how chip design companies rely on semiconductor foundries for manufacturing services without building their own factories and production lines. Taizhi Cloud will also provide high-performance computing power and cybersecurity solutions through the AIHPC cloud service model, helping customers embrace a digital future that balances intelligence and trust.
