Adjust the load balancer timeout value via API

If you need to extend the load balancer (LB) timeout values to match service and webpage response times, the following tutorial shows you how to quickly adjust the three LB timeout values via API and a document-based webpage.

The default timeout values set by the three load balancer systems.:

  • timeout_client_data int32

    Listener frontend client inactivity timeout in milliseconds. Default: 50000.

  • timeout_member_connect int32

    Listener backend member connection timeout in milliseconds. Default: 5000.

  • timeout_member_data int32

    Listener backend member inactivity timeout in milliseconds. Default: 50000.

Detailed Steps

 

Step 1. Obtain LB three information

 

  • LB ID
  • Listener Name
  • API Key

Step 2. Update LB parameters

 

  • Please go to ExecuteActionLoadBalancer
  • Enter or execute the following commands in sequence on the right:
    1. API key
    2. LB ID
    3. Copy and paste the Default value
    4. Listener Name
    5. Enter 150000 (adjust the timeout value as needed)
    6. Enter 15000 (adjust the timeout value as needed)
    7. Enter 150000 (adjust the timeout value as needed)
    8. Send information
    9. Retrieve No Response

Step 3. LB parameters have been confirmed to be updated.

 

  • Please go toGetLoadBalancerDetail
  • Enter or execute the following commands in sequence on the right:
    1. API key
    2. LB ID
    3. Copy and paste the Default value
    4. Send information

           5. The response will retrieve the updated value of the LB timeout.
