▲ Tainan Deputy Mayor Chao Ching-hui (holding RO water), project leader Li Li-kuo, chief strategist of Tai Chih-Yun (holding outflowing water), and Associate Professor Chang Chih-hua of National Cheng Kung University (holding inflowing water) jointly witnessed the Tainan Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant using four innovative technologies to intelligently treat wastewater, making it more efficient for the Southern Taiwan Science Park's semiconductor industry.
To achieve its goal of creating a sustainable circular city, Tainan City has once again partnered with ASUS Group's Taishin Cloud, integrating industry-academia-research collaborations with National Cheng Kung University, the Institute for Information Industry (III), and Dual-Shoulder Smart Technology to establish the "5G Smart Water Information Cloud Platform," providing a smart upgrade for the Yongkang Water Resource Recycling Center in Tainan City. This collaboration utilizes four technological innovations—AIoT, 5G, blockchain, and generative AI—to enhance the hydrological intelligence and system resilience of the municipal wastewater treatment plant, ensuring a stable supply of high-quality water to high-tech industries and creating a new paradigm for sustainable water resource recycling. Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che stated, "The smart upgrade of the Yongkang Water Recycling Center is not only a significant milestone for Tainan City towards smart water management, but also a concrete practice of our efforts to build a sustainable circular city. This innovation will provide a more stable and high-quality water resource guarantee for the semiconductor industry in the Southern Taiwan Science Park, while also setting a new benchmark for water resource management throughout Taiwan. We look forward to this solution being extended to other water recycling centers throughout the city in the future, jointly creating a comprehensive smart water network." Wu Han-chang, General Manager of Taishin Cloud, stated, "It is an honor to collaborate with Tainan City once again, extending from smart transportation and smart epidemic prevention to smart water management, jointly creating a new chapter in smart cities. In terms of smart water management, we leverage Taishin Cloud's AFS one-stop AI computing power deployment, model services, 5G private network, and blockchain technology to drive more energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and resilient water resource recycling governance through data. We look forward to serving more water resource recycling centers across Taiwan in the future, creating a better aquatic ecological environment through innovative technology."
▲Smart water management upgraded again! Tainan City's "5G Smart Water Information Cloud Platform" incorporates AIoT sensor networks and 5G dedicated frequency network transmission to monitor the external environment in real time and collect water quality and quantity data. It includes innovative equipment such as large-scale garbage identification systems, grease detectors, and smart water level gauges.
Tainan City's smart water management system has been upgraded again! The "5G Smart Water Information Cloud Platform" incorporates AIoT sensing networks and dedicated 5G frequency networks for real-time monitoring of the external environment and collection of water quality and quantity data. Innovative equipment, including a large-scale waste identification system, grease detectors, and smart water level gauges, can predict water quality changes up to 30 minutes in advance, effectively preventing anomalies. All monitoring data is stored on the blockchain to ensure data integrity and enhance overall system credibility. Furthermore, the platform integrates with Taisun's AI Foundry Service (AFS) generative AI outsourcing service, deploying an AI-powered hydrological system in the cloud. This system learns from experts' past experience and knowledge, quickly providing solutions for anomalies and improving the center's response efficiency. Taisun is also upgrading its wastewater treatment plants with 5G smart solutions, injecting new vitality into local water resource management and becoming a solid support for Tainan City's sustainable industrial development.
