▲ Chen Zhongcheng (from right), Associate Director of ASUS Cloud Architecture Software Center and Chief Technology Officer of Taizhi Cloud, Li Jiahao, Associate Director of Chang Gung Medical Technology Information Division, and Hong Heyi, Senior Associate Director of Guozhong Computer, jointly created an AI medical inference cloud platform to drive the upgrade of medical services.
ASUS Group's Taishin Cloud, Kuo Chung Computer, and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital have collaborated to create an AI inference cloud platform. This platform offers 12 medical AI models and an LLM-based generative AI assistant, covering diagnostic applications such as medical imaging X-rays, ultrasound, and EKG electrocardiograms. Since its launch this year, the platform has served nine Chang Gung Memorial Hospitals across Taiwan, significantly improving medical efficiency and patient care quality.
Chang Gung Memorial Hospital's AI Inference Cloud Platform utilizes the AI Foundry Service (AFS) on-premises AI computing power deployment solution, integrating AI servers, inference software platforms, and a Medical Information System (HIS). It provides an intuitive Web Viewer interface, allowing medical staff to quickly access patient records and perform AI-assisted diagnoses. The platform helps doctors understand patients' conditions based on accurate data and provide the best treatment plans.
Yu Chin-pang, CEO of the Administrative Center at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, pointed out, "Within two months of its launch, the platform has been used over 27,000 times. Outpatient and inpatient departments are using the LLM-based generative AI assistant on the Chang Gung Cloud Platform to optimize the organization and analysis of examination reports, further enhancing the accuracy of diagnostic assistance. The ground-based AI inference cloud platform, jointly established by Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and its partners, optimizes and trains a large amount of medical data and models, assisting physicians in quickly making diagnostic assistance based on medical images. The LLM-based generative AI assistant on the platform also improves report production efficiency by structuring and analyzing examination reports."
Chen Zhongcheng, Associate Director of ASUS Cloud Architecture Software Center and Chief Technology Officer of Taizhi Cloud, stated, "In response to the hospital's high standards for cybersecurity, our team specifically built a private cloud platform for Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. This platform combines HIS data with structured data storage to support multidisciplinary AI inference clinical applications. Not only does it meet cybersecurity requirements, but it also boasts flexible scalability, covering nine hospitals within the Chang Gung medical system from Keelung to Kaohsiung, comprehensively improving the efficiency and accuracy of medical services."
ASUS, Guozhong Computer, and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital have joined forces to demonstrate the deep cultivation and breakthroughs of AI technology in the field of smart healthcare, injecting new momentum into the digital transformation of healthcare and continuously leading the upgrade of medical services.
