The pandemic has posed severe challenges to all countries and had a significant impact on healthcare systems. The Ministry of Health and Welfare's "Regulations for the Creation and Management of Electronic Medical Records in Medical Institutions" outlines three key points: first, exchanging electronic medical records in FHIR format; second, allowing electronic medical records to be hosted on domestic cloud platforms; and third, paperless hospitals. These three core principles clearly indicate that the optimization and upgrading of healthcare services rely heavily on cloud technology.
The "2022 Smart Healthcare and Digital Hospital Development Online Forum" focused on the next generation of electronic medical records (EMRs) based on FHIR and cloud architecture services. Taiwan Smart Cloud and ASUS Health provided comprehensive services, offering HIPAA-compliant and locally compliant cloud-based digital solutions. The "Digital Healthcare Development Overview" forum on July 27th was jointly organized by Digital Security, the Digital Financial Transactions and Data Protection Association of the Republic of China, and the Life Insurance Association of the Republic of China, sharing the latest perspectives and technological solutions for the development of smart healthcare and digital hospitals.
