Taiwan Smart Cloud, in collaboration with its partners, has created Taiwan's first "Urban Dynamic Image AI Sensing Platform" using a hybrid cloud architecture. Through flexible allocation of cloud resources, combined with 5G transmission, drones, real-time imagery, and AI recognition technology, it can quickly analyze images and provide real-time support for municipal decision-making. AI recognition is trained using TWCC, while the city government's server room performs AI inference. Aerial images transmitted by drones via 5G are used to help identify pedestrian flow at key intersections, at tourist attractions, and for epidemic prevention applications in public places.
With an accuracy rate of up to 98%, it gradually assists the Tainan City Government in building an Intelligent of Operation Center (IOC) to achieve digital governance. Furthermore, using a hybrid cloud architecture, it leverages public cloud for AI training and local terminals for AI inference, improving algorithm efficiency and accuracy while significantly reducing the enormous resources and costs associated with system development.
By leveraging real-time imaging, AI, and 5G technologies, the technology can assist in municipal decision-making and optimize urban planning. In the future, it can also be applied to diverse imaging applications in sectors such as retail and smart tourism.
