Taiwan AI Cloud hosted its annual technology event, "AIHPCcon Taiwan AI Supercomputing Conference," with the theme "AI 2.0 · Supercomputing · New Ecosystem." The event showcased Taiwan's first large-scale AI model, the Formosa Model, built on the Taiwan Sugi-2 supercomputer, boasting 176 billion parameters. This model combines Traditional Chinese semantic understanding and text generation capabilities to launch an enterprise-level generative AI solution. This new business model provides enterprises with the flexibility, security, and rapid optimization to meet industry applications. By integrating ecosystem partner resources, it creates reliable AI 2.0 future opportunities, driving innovation in AI smart applications across industries and accelerating the grasp of AI digital business opportunities.
At the event, ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih stated, "AI supercomputing has been regarded as the most important engine driving the future digital economy. ASUS has a top-notch AI supercomputing team and invested in the establishment of Taizhi Cloud in 2021, becoming the only company in Asia to provide commercial AI supercomputing services. We are actively building computing power, creating platforms, and connecting with partners to co-create the AI 2.0 ecosystem. We hope that Taiwan can continue its ICT industry strength and become an indispensable digital hub in the AI 2.0 era."

ASUS Taiwan Cloud launched the only commercial supercomputing cloud service in Asia and will actively utilize computing power to build a platform and connect together to create a new AI 2.0 ecosystem.
In addition to releasing the Formosa large-scale model, comparable to GPT-3.5, Taizhi Cloud has launched a comprehensive enterprise-grade generative AI solution, combining AIHPC computing power with a No-code large-scale model optimization platform. This solution offers a series of AI Foundry Services (AFS) that provide rapid access to AI supercomputer computing power, easy model optimization, and flexible model deployment. The service includes "AFS Platform (Large-scale Language Model Optimization Service)," "AFS Shuttle (Large-scale Language Model Optimization Sharing Service)," "World's First AFS Appliance (Large-scale Language Model On-premises Deployment Solution)," and "AFS Cloud (Large-scale Language Model Hosting Service)." Under this architecture, Taizhi Cloud provides reliable, energy-efficient, and freely migrateable optimized AI models, enabling enterprises to seamlessly move or adjust AI workloads between public and private clouds, helping them quickly embrace the AI 2.0 application trend and implement practical solutions.
The 2023 AIHPCcon event invited numerous startups and AI 2.0 partners to share and showcase AI smart applications, the latest industry developments, and solutions, including precision medicine, digital twins, smart manufacturing, smart transportation, and smart commerce.
