Taiwan AI Cloud today announced a partnership with Ubilink AI Co., Ltd. to launch one of the few on-demand AI computing services in Taiwan based on NVIDIA’s Hopper architecture — the U-T Cloud platform. Built upon the Ubilink AI computing center, the service is designed, deployed, and commercially operated by Taiwan AI Cloud, providing enterprises with an AI inference solution that balances high performance, cost efficiency, and local data sovereignty, while further strengthening Taiwan AI Cloud’s presence in the AI compute market.
ASUS Group's subsidiary, Taizhi Cloud, has launched a newly upgraded inference model, FFM-Mistral-Small-3.1-24B-Reasoning (Formosa Large Model FFM). This model integrates Taiwanese values and optimizes reasoning capabilities based on local scenarios, demonstrating superior reasoning and task understanding abilities. Supporting multimodal understanding and vertical application scenarios, the model meets the core needs of governments and enterprises in implementing autonomous, controllable, and trustworthy AI solutions, accelerating the deployment of Agentic AI and ushering in a new chapter in the development of sovereign AI.
The Taipei Exchange, Taiwan AI Supercomputing Accelerator, and PwC jointly announced the launch of an AI startup acceleration mechanism project. A press conference was held on April 18, 2025 to launch the project. Chairman Liu Jingqing of the National Development Council and Director Zhang Zhenshan of the Securities and Futures Bureau of the Financial Supervisory Commission attended the event and provided guidance. ASUS Group's Taishin Cloud, Kuo Chung Computer, and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital have collaborated to create an AI inference cloud platform. This platform offers 12 medical AI models and an LLM-based generative AI assistant, covering diagnostic applications such as medical imaging X-rays, ultrasound, and EKG electrocardiograms. Since its launch this year, the platform has served nine Chang Gung Memorial Hospitals across Taiwan, significantly improving medical efficiency and patient care quality.
